Snefnug (“snowflake”) is a super soft, light, airy but thick yarn entirely made from natural materials in a luscious blend of 55% baby alpaca, 10% extra fine merino wool, and 35% cotton.
This yarn is manufactured at an Italian family owned spinning mill where the environment and animal welfare are taken into account, which of course means that the merino wool is mulesing free.
Snefnug has a cotton mesh tube as the core with a luscious blend of merino and baby alpaca blown into it, making it a hard wearing but super soft and exclusive yarn.
It's perfect for baby and children’s knits as well as the trending oversized adult knits such as sweaters, cardigans, scarfs, and beanies made on big needles.
It is also recommended to knit ribbing a bit tighter as these too will stretch in use.
Handwashing the finished project with wool detergent is recommended. Lay flat to dry.
